Jack Krause, owner of the hotel and the restaurant, opened Hemingway's on Lake Tarpon, with a vision of creating Palm Harbor's finest dining experience. Countless hours have been dedicated to the creation and formation of this new restaurant by Jack,  two of Jack's daughter's; Karen Krause & Mickey Krause, his grandson TJ,  Maintenance Manager; Vince Bonnain and all of our great staff both out front and in the kitchen. (And of course, his namesake grandson; Jack who'll be 3 in December).

Karen has vast experience working in restaurants as a cook and has been invaluable in the menu creation which features some of her special recipes. These include her Tipsy Cuban Shrimp, Savory Black Beans, and her Cuban Pulled Pork, Cuba Havana Nachos.

Chef Max  and his assistants infuse every dish they create with their extensive knowledge and passion for perfection. Dessert creations are fabulous along with soups and catch-of-the-day fish specials.
